I am 22. I was rasied to be Christain- I was raised to beleive in God, to have faith, to pray- worship, and follow the Word of God, however, I don't know when exactly but I started doubt, and soon I found myself staying home from church on Sundays, and asking questions like why-when-how-who-what? I finally told my parents I didn't beleive in God, NO THEY WEREN'T happy, but they excepted it, and did everything to make me regain the faith I had once had... I now am a true beleiver that we evolved from Monkeys, and that the bible is something written by a king, or some other person with authority! Maybe even a mind reader or someone who could see into the future. I can't explain it, or why religion is here, and so many beleive, but I just know I don't.
I would like to say- I would love to beleive in God, things were so much easier than. People didn't look at me funny, or tell me I was going to hell. Beleive me- many have said --- YOU will BURN in HELL ..... When I beleived in God people were nicer, and didn't judge me. Then I realized, why on earth do I care. Im me, and I'm happy comming to terms with the fact, I don't beleive in God. There is nothing wrong with not beleiveing. I do not preach to others that I am right, and they are wrong, I simply will state the facts why I don't beleive when someone ask. I think The Bible is a good book, and it has ways of living that include having morals.. I think that it is a good set of rules to live by. I don't beleive in God, but I still wouldn't kill, cheat, lie, or steal. I think that Christains show great decipline by devoting themselves to what they beleive in. I think that Christains do good things for other people, and truely care for one another.
However, being athiest- has made me see just how rude some people can be. It is amazing how many rules can be broken when they speak with someone who doesn't beleive in God, all the sudden they have the right to judge. I HAVE READ THE BIBLE..... and I know I remember something about Thou shall not Judge, or be judged by no other than God.
Truth is most athiest will never find faith after loseing it in God. Most athiest are very educated on the bible before they make a decision. Anything that a Christain tells an Athiest -- I'm sure has been said 100 times before to them. Please-- if you are Christain- or you beleive in God, I'm asking on behalf of 99% of us athiest- don't preach to us, or try to make us convert back, truth is we were probably once a Christain, and we know both sides better than you!
