Copyright infringement is a major infraction of the law. The entertainment industry loses millions of dollars annually due to the practice and they take that very seriously. I don't deny that illegal copies are made on a daily basis but I do question your wisdom in getting on here and telling the whole world that you are breaking the law tonight. Don't be surprised when the FBI comes knocking on your door. |

They need to learn not to charge $20 for a 50 cent CD then. Music is supposed to be for enjoyment, not ripping off the general public. |

I agree with Persephone...I'm not going to spend 20.00 on a CD for one song when all the others are garbage..ecspecilly when the CD costs less than 1.00 to make and the record company gets more than 80% of the profits |

They were probably just not picked in the final round to go on the CD. Most bands have songs that never make it to CD. |

Folks, you are forgetting all about everyone it takes to put a CD together. They all have to be paid. There's the band, the studio, the manager, the producer, the promoters, etc. Last but certainly not least is the artist. If you take all of that into consideration, it's easy to see what makes a fifty cent blank CD end up costing twenty dollars. I understand why they get upset when people pirate their music too. How would you feel if you worked hard and then people kept stealing money out of your paycheck. How would you like it if you worked a job where you made ten dollars an hour but when you got your check, it turned out that you were actually only paid two dollars an hour? You wouldn't like that, would you? Now do you understand why it's a crime? It's theft and there is no other word for it. |

Frankenstien-Artists like Nelly, P Diddy, NSYNC, don't already have enough money to waste? Music is for enjoyment, I would be thrilled to have people burning my cd, more peoplet to enjoy it. |
