Does Alcohol Have A Link To Siezures? ~Skidaisy~

Last summer my sister had a siezure. Believe me, it was the SCARIEST thing I have ever experienced. I went upstairs to find her convulsing on our floor, her eyes rolled back in her head; she was completely dead to the world. I thought she was choking! Then, this year, my co-worker had a siezure at the clinic where we clean rooms; he had all of the symptoms my sister had. To top it off, my sister had ANOTHER siezure about a month and a half ago in a hotel room we were staying at. Believe me, I have had my fill of siezures! (But I feel comfortable enough to say that I know what to do if someone has one now!) My mom and I have tried to find explanations for the siezures, but there really are none. Because the EEG exams came out normal, there is nothing to trace the siezure too. Well, I have developed a theory and was hoping someone might be able to back me on this? My sister was 16 at the time of her first siezure and she had been getting into the party scene, coming home drunk with her boyfriend. My coworker could not drink for a year because of probation, but recently was released so he began to drink again. At the wedding (the night of my sis's second attack) she had like half a beer and a little champagne. I don't know for sure, but I am thinking maybe alcohol is the culprit here? Thanks for your help! ~Skidaisy~

I have been begging my mom to take my sister to the hospital (she didn't go after her second one) but my sis refuses because she doesn't want to lose her driver's licence. I think she is ridiculous! She could die driving if she had one...I need to talk to my mom. Thanks for that tid bit Frankenstein (hey, I did a 10 page thesis paper on Frankenstein hee hee...)

I.e., some people react to wine sulfates. Might want to look at other 'event' triggers for reactions other than seizures, which could have some linkG-man767
