BEING SOMEONE YOUR NOT

I hear all the time, people complaing about other people not being themselves, and trying to be something or someone their not. Well...most people that say these type of things are my age ...15-17 watever. I have had people tell me that im a poser ...and so on , just stuff like that ...well im alot of things , but, thats the fun in it ..people are supposed to be finding who they are ...you cant just decide , especially at 15 or 16 ..who and wat you are going to be ...there are so many things that i would like to do. The choices you make in life make you who you are .....so back to my point you cant decide who and wat you are one day and stick to it...there are more choices ahead and they are choices that make you who you are ...up until you die, so therefor your always changing...and in highschool...everybody experiances alot of the same things around the same time...thats why many people are alike ... and why is it a bad thing to want to be like someone else..look up to them..if its a positive thing and the other person is positive , then wats wrong with it... and all the people that complain, that try to be different than everyone else is just as bad as wanting to be like someone ...b/c technically your not being yourself ...if your just trying to be different, thats stupid...you should just find your own individuality...and if it is like someone elses or someone else can relate to it ...watever ...ITS OK.... so we shouldn't critisize (i probably didn't spell that right...oh well :) )anyone about wanting or being like someone else...when the time comes they will find who and wat they are and stand for ... and the pressure of someone telling them they are a poser is hard to deal with ...if they are already confused about life in general....I know this probably makes no sence ...its hard to try to explain something when your not actually talking to them in person ...very difficult to get a point across!! LOL

well if you read this thanx !! eternal<>cry

Date: 6/18/2002 6:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 19875    I know what I am, though I am only 15. I'm me. Nothing more, nothing less. I will always be me, and never stop being me. *Shrugs* Some people never know who or what they are, I just happen to be one of those rare teens that does. I've personally never acted like everyone else, as I've always thought there was more merit in being my own person. Ah well, each to their own I suppose.
Date: 6/18/2002 6:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 49150    Very good post and insight. I can remember the days trying to discover who I was. It's not so much a discovery, but becoming a person who I could live with for the rest of my life.

No matter what age we are, the day we stop learning is the saddest day. How will we communicate and learn to accept each other if we are not allowed to change our opinions and to test the new waters we discover. Great post!

Date: 6/18/2002 7:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    I was Julia Child for a weekend. That didn't work out. I love to cook but I've never wanted to be a ninety-five year old woman! LOL!
