The ghost of pain,
Now rules my world,
It comes to me,
When darkness accompanies loneliness,
Its frequent visits,
Disrupts my peacefulness,
It enjoys stroking my depression,
And invading my happiness,
It crushes my hopes and aspirations,
At a moment's notice,
And places them in nightmare shadows,
Materializes haunting dreams,
Tries to turn my heart to stone,
In order to immortalize sadness,
Someday ,I'll be able,
To pass through those shadows,
And see the light of love.
