If only a person would take the time To look beneath the layer they see The inner beauty of a person's being Is there waiting for a chance to be set free
Judgmental moments we are guilty of having Often times when before us a person does stand Too hasty are our opinions of this person formed As certain mannerisms from them we seem to demand
If only we would just take the time to look At what lies beneath the outer layer of mankind By allowing our hearts and minds to be open The inner beauty of that person we might find
Individualism is their right to claim Who are we to stand before them and judge? When in their walks of life and in their very shoes Neither you, nor I have yet, nor will we ever trudge
We can not make them into something else That we perceive they should become or be We must look first within ourselves and then them And find the inner beauty we all possess; waiting to be set free
