This is a really sketchy area mainly because the gov't. can't regulate self-owned corporations too heavily. What you might try is looking up the latest bill of Worker's rights, and calling the corporate office for this company to find out what they can and cannot do. You may just have to accept it. The company I work for does it all of the time, and there's not much anyone can do about it. ![]() |

I've gone through something similar but the company I worked for made sure they were "in legal right" even though it was unfair. Companies generally have to abide by the job description, hours and rate of pay that you signed a contract for. If they are going to vary these things they have to offer options or compensation, if unionized. If you are not unionized then you have only the rights given to you by your state's labor laws. Call the Labor Department and ask them about your concerns. ![]() |
