We are individuals....we should not be judged by race, color, or religion. Religious intolerance is at the bottom of the worst evil man has imposed on other men. Since we are all on a journey, no one has the right to judge, or subject other's to judgement...that is my opinion. And I am glad others can finally speak up. You have the right to believe in whatever deity you choose. You also have the right to believe in no deity. |

Well I guess some would say that salvation is actually very important, so what you say is some sort of discrimination, is in fact to SOME more important than anything of the physical world... hmmm seeing two sides to the coin here Good post |

The masks....ahhhh the masks! What a fine way of putting it! I like to think that as humans, we are only what is left if we were in a room with no doors or windows, no light and no clothes. It's what we do with what is left that matters. JMO peace, |

*Grins* Don't worry Firstborn, that my point exactly. For you to still believe in the word of God, and to have the capability to get along equally as well with who DOESN'T believe (Which I am sure you would do just fine) For one to be friends with another regardless of their religion. well.... we are not technically the same if you take off all the masks (I dont think I have a mask, I am the same at home, school, church, and USM), true Christians will be different from nonbelievers because we have Jesus and He sets us apart from the world. JesusFreak |

Wether Christians are different from non-believers or not, they can still get along.God can be with Christians, and make them act different than non-believers, but just putting aside "God" and "Non-God" beliefs just makes two normal people, who can act as friends. Yours truly, Homunculus |

I agree. Though I am a believer in God and the Bible, I thoroughly respect the idea of religious freedom, however, the only thing I don't like is that many want to change history to suit their own agenda. Part of what has made America so great in the past is a respect for the idea that God gave us ALL our freedoms, but without that fact being acknowledged, our freedoms are now from men, and are in vain - cause men can't give you your freedom from them and their evil deeds - only God can. Our forefathers had enough intelligence to understand that, and acknowledged that men have a right to believe what they want - they just had to respect the rights of their fellow citizens, and not push their own agenda, but this is what has been happening in America for many years now - people claim that Christians are pushing their agenda, when in reality, Christians and the true history of WHERE FREEDOM DERIVED, is being pushed out, in exchange for a world where MEN GIVE US FREEDOM, and therefore, TAKE IT AWAY. This is the struggle, imho, however, believe what you want - this is the great thing about the Constitution, or was, I should say, since I sincerely believe that since 9/11, the Constitution has been shelved. |
