TRAPPED IN PERSONAL HELL ,,,ALICENCHAINS

stained glass tears stream down her face
her colors smear, and fade away with out a trace
silence leaves the ears bleeding with its ring
loneliness is the only song her soul sings
the living pays a visit once in awhile, but its
the dead that stays, and leaves her flowers

time ticks slow for the emotionally destroyed
its an infinity of sterile dreams, an empty void
you clutch tight in your hands, the sheers that knit
the bars to your cell, locked tight in your own
personal hell

happiness stays dorment inside, it waits
with patience to sprout roots again, letting the
pain subside, it waits and waits, so confident
it will find you again, before you both die
