thank you so much for posting this. i would never have noticed without you pointing out. i have already had to cancel one hotmail account because i got like 50 pieces of junkmail a day. it would suck to have to cancel the one i have now.  |

You're welcome!  If you guys use Yahoo Mail you may want to make sure you reset your Marketing Preferences since they changed them for everyone about a months ago.  To do this log into your yahoo account & then go here: http://subscribe.yahoo.com/showaccount Be sure to make sure everything is checked as "NO", that the boxes for Mail & Telephone (near the bottom) are ARE checked, & click on the Yahoo Delivers link "edit your preferences" & make sure you have "NO" checked there too. BUT BE SURE YOU DO THIS RIGHT AWAY since Yahoo is only alowwing us to update our marketing preferences for 60 days & it's almost up! I don't think it's cool that they put a time limit on that AT ALL! Oh yeah! Also if you change your preferences at Yahoo be sure to click on the link "Newsletter Preferences" toward the top of the page & check "No" to those too. Unless of course you want to get that stuff in your email. Luv, |

That should be illegal. I thought it WAS illegal. They're supposed to ask you before they can give away your information, or let you know that they have done this, and how to turn it off if you wish. I've gone and turned it off now. A week ago, I received EXACTLY the SAME email over TWENTY times in the span of 45 seconds! I watched in desblief while sitting in MSN Messenger.  |
