What gets me is that sometimes you'll see the fluff at the end of a comment that the person appears to just add in just in case it is offensive to someone or in case someone might get mad at them they just put "hugs" at the end so they don't have to worry about being warned or worry about a confrontation. Then if they are confronted, they say "Oh, I even put *hugs* at the end of my comment! You must be really insecure or something!" And all of the sudden they are little miss/mr innocent! And it was perfectly planned with a fake hug.  |

Yes, I am quite sure people have better things to talk about such as beauty contests, being bored, posts that ask which do you like better this or that, coke or pepsi, Britnet Spears, you get the picture. I have to start wondering when you say "do people have nothing better to talk about?" I try to stay on top of current events in real life and here at usm, don't you. Fluff, is a current/daily event here. This is just a discussion. If you feel it is a waste of your time, start reading comments on other posts. You might see what I mean about fluff. But since you could find something better to talk about, then I would assume you'd find something better to think about when reading. Well, I live in the real world where I dont take everything off an internet website literally. If someone says *hugs* I dont get a mental picture of them wrapping their arms around me in a loving embrace. I remember I used to sign my posts "Love," and then my tag would appear. Someone called me on this. In my opinion I simply meant it as a "Sincerely" or "Cordially" but this person opened my eyes as for it to be a little too deep for a website. So I stopped after I saw the point. I didnt mean it to be an "I would die for you and you are more important to me than the air I breathe" comment ending. Simply a friendly gesture. I try not to read to much into things and I certainly wont be offended by affection from strangers. Nor skeptical. I simply take it as I see it- a unique endearment from that person and nothing more.  |

I normally give a hug in a post if that person seems to be having a rough time,I smile alot in posts and I was told once that I LOL too much hee hee but I really don't think I am "fluffy"I am not overly affectionate in real life, so I do not really use terms of affection too freely I don't really call anyone sweetie,honey etc...basically when I want to I give my ((HUG)) LOL ok that is all I wanted to say goodnight all  |

I do hug a lot of strangers, some are kids, who are sick, some abused, I hug the elderly, I hug the dying, I hug some just because they are at the end of life's rope. Do I love them, YES, I do, in my heart I feel love and compassion for anyone who reaches out to me. Giving a hug is sometimes all that I can do.  |
