Blood Stained Tears, Princess Leo and I (Rainbow Angel) sat down, talked, and this is what we came up with.

I think everyone has noticed that the site has been under going a few things in the past little while. Sometimes change can be good, and other times, it can be just the opposite. WE have had a lot of hurt feelings, and confused minds, as to why all of this has happened. And how things have come to be this way.

This is not usm.

Things have been said, people have been hurt, and an outbreak of happenings have been going on. Maybe some of you are not aware of this, but it is very real and we can no longer ignore this. Not anymore. WE need to stop, think, and understand that only we can make the change. This has been talked about, and debated about countless times, maybe its time for people to start listening, and stop talking?

Those who were involved in a harsh display in the chat room meant no maliciousness, and apologize to have acted out that way. To them it felt as though their voice had been taken away, and no one was listening to them, only wanting to be heard they did some things, not so appropriate, but they did not mean to offend anyone, they were pretty much at wits end. We all know how in a fit of anger, how we can say things that we do not always mean.

We need to remember, we are ALL human beings, we are ALL usmers, and we should ALL be able to speak with our own voice without being ridiculed, shot down, or called names for doing so. How can we communicate our concerns if we are not able to speak freely? (within reason!) :)

Equality. There should be no playing favorites, I know it happens every single day, every single place in the world. But why here? We all have a certain set of rules, simple rules in fact, we should all follow them. And if we do not, then each and every person who does not follow these rules, should be given the same warning. No one should be getting away with something wrong they have done. What does this teach others? nothing. it teaches them that there is no fairness.

USM is NOT a popularity contest, so it should not be treated as one.

There is no pettiness involved, there is no jealous intentions, only the wish to be treated fairly, equally. This is a concern that has been risen in many usmers voices. We can no longer ignore this.

Remember, before an action is taken, before a word is spoken (that may hurt another) Put yourself in their shoes, to understand and see how it would feel. It is always different on the other side, maybe thats what we need to look into.

This post has covered a lot of concerns, issues, and frustrations that have been on many usmers minds now for awhile. And now the voice is heard. We need to get back to the basics of usm. To make it fun again.
