I still don't think a "Beauty Contest" should be allowed on here. At least not with pictures incorporated. If you claim that this is based on inner beauty, then do just that, base it on inner beauty and exclude the viewing of pictures in it.  |

Yeah, I agree with Persephone, I don't really like the idea of a beauty contest, in fact, I don't really like the idea of contests on USM at all. But, like Persephone said, if you're gonna have a beauty contest you should base it on inner beauty. Erin-  |

okay, wait...the interviews help determin. believe me, it isn't on a scale of 1-10 to say who you think is ugly and you think is 'hot' it's like a real beauty contest, so much of each 'category' make up for the final results. |

It is a contest nonetheless, and I can guarantee you that it will be the same 15 or 20 people who are always nominated for everything else. Your aim is at the whole of USM based on something that potentially leaves out many and can bolster insecurity. Contests like this and Award nomination contests should be banned completely from this site. It isn't a game, its simply another popularity contest. And simply because I don't want to participate does not mean I do not have a voice in telling everyone how displeased I am with something like this. I'm NOT participating in it, I'm participating in advocating AGAINST it. |
