Ok look, a lot of people have said the Bible mentions reincarnation, Jesus himself says so (supposedly).

Well I'm writing a report on this and I absolutly have to know where it says that, so if anyone knows please tell me a.s.a.p.

Thanks!

Date: 5/12/2002 9:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 49277    i never have heard of that except that jesus supposedly was brought back as an angel after he died as a human... does that count? sorry i dunno

Date: 5/13/2002 5:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 48993    i believe there are verses that are making refertence to reincarnation , most christians will disagree and find some other meaning , that suits them , but imo these passages are about reincarnation . if you want me to share them with you message me~
Date: 5/13/2002 6:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 36967    Nowhere does it mention reincarnation in the Bible.

Date: 5/13/2002 6:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 15394    Rev 3:12 suggests that one will never have to leave heaven AGAIN, IE do we do that more than once? ... Luke 20:35 suggests one can "no longer die", IE more than one death perhaps? ...
Date: 5/13/2002 7:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 53838    Hi, I went through my Strongs concordance and could not find any where there is the word reincarnation in the bible. Mybe they used another word for it. I'd look up the story of lazarus, he was brought back to life by Jesus Hope that helps.. Old Lady
Date: 5/13/2002 7:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 36967    Rev 3:12, where do you get that idea that cannot leave heaven agian. Luke 20:35-36, is when we get to heaven, death will not be there.

Date: 5/13/2002 7:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 48993    ooooooooooooooh drkptrs....... stop living life with blinders on .... there is a big HUGE picture out there!! its not all one sided!!!! lighten up man!
Date: 5/13/2002 7:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 48993    see this is why i didnt put any verses in because of people like drkptrs... i refuse to debate this ...... because he always thinks hes right . even when people prove him wrong.
Date: 5/13/2002 7:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 36967    Hebrews 97 as it is appointed unto men ONCE to die but AFTER this the Judgement. That to me, says that we die once, no reincarnation.

Date: 5/13/2002 7:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 36967    Has anyone proven God wrong? I just take God by his word.

Date: 5/13/2002 7:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 15394    huh??? rev 3:12 doesn't it read in part...... Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: ...shall no more go out suggesting leaving and returning leaving returning...
Date: 5/13/2002 7:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 48993    so drkptrs you compare yourself to god??? i said prove you a man wrong! not god .... kind of pompous dont ya think??
Date: 5/13/2002 7:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 48993    i feel a verse quote comming on here LOL ...*tries to resist*
Date: 5/13/2002 7:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 36967    If you take it out of context, you really need to take it out of context to have it say that you can leave heaven. This is the letter written to the church of Philadephia(NO, not in Pennsylvania), it is in Turkey. These Christians have kept the faith. They were loyal to Jesus Christ. Go no more out is not refering to heaven. It is refering to the temple of God. If you are born agian, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 cor 6:19,20) The Holy Spirit(God) is in you, so you cannot leave the presence of God.
Date: 5/13/2002 7:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 36967    No I am not comparing myself with God. I say that I take God in his Word. I believe God literally. That is what I say. DanieDarlin, you like to twist what people say.

Date: 5/13/2002 7:32:00 AM  From Authorid: 15394    Author I hope that helped There are more but like Dani, I resisted putting them here as the age old context argument would ensue oops oh lookie there it is already
Date: 5/13/2002 7:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 48993    ohh thats not how you "meant" it??? well thats how i "read" it ......... its all interpretive and its all about perspective ........drkptrs, i believe you just helped me make my big HUGE point!
