I only have a parakeet, but my grandmother has a cockatiel so I know what you mean. Sometimes the bird will go over and "get funny" with his perch. I don't know what to reccomend. It is embarrassing! Good Luck! |

He I forgot to mention my bird is a she which is worse since I am a she to... lol my bird can't tell I am not a guy... I thought about getting a male for my bird but then I would have babies... and then they would die since I naturally have bad luck with pets plus I don't have the time for babies (baby birds) Also if I got a male for it I would need another cage. Also my bird I have currently would not be dependent on me and that can be bad since it wouldn't be as friendly |

Hehe! I have a nanday conure, and he does this mating dance type thing and climbs up and runs all around my body with his wings spread and ruffled. He tries to preen me all the time, and is constantly snuggling agaist my neck or forehead when I'm sleeping or lying down. What can you do? I would like to know too. Sorry. I also have a cockatiel, though male, who does the mating call to me, and the other male bird too. Grins. Love, -Ajelae |

LOL! yeah my cockatiel does that too! but its a male...he has just seemed to have fallen in love with me....cockateils just seem to get really attached to ther owner and love them like everything....one thing you could do is get another bird for it -male or female- so then itll grow attaced to the other one and not so much to you...that should work...Luv-ya Erin |
