GOD'S YELLOW ROSE ( A POEM FOR MY MOM ON MOTHER'S DAY)

She was the one
God was so proud of,
when he made her into life
and gave her the ability
to love.

Her beauty
was the inspiration
for earth's beautiful colors,
With eyes so big
and more sensitive
then any others.
Truly she has
an angel's heart,
My mom...
God's amazing art.

She was the one
with dreams of a child,
when her dream came true
all she could do was smile.
To care for a life
that needed her to survive,
gave her life a new meaning
and set her love alive.

She was the one
who always had
to work for
what she loved,
Though times she
wished she could
give so much more,
but she's already
given me more
then enough.

God hit it on the nail
the day she was born,
I know the angels
were heart broken
when she left heaven,
oh how they
must of mourned.
To lose such a gift
just to give life on earth,
she truly was a miracle,
the first time she gave birth.

She endured so much pain
just to give an
unknown life a name.
She went threw
so many storms,
and faced so much evil
in different forms.
Just so her children
would grow up a happy life,
she went to the
ends of the earth
to protect them
from all the pain and strife.

She's the one
with the funnist laugh,
and what makes her
more precious is
she's the only
mom I'll ever have.
She speaks words
that no one else
could ever say,
thats why I'm glad
I still get to have
her on this day.

God isn't alone
on being proud of her,
I know deep down
she's an Angel for sure.
Her body may be be tired
but her love shimmers on,
and I know one day
her body will be gone.

But her love will stay,
cause unconditional love
never goes away.
I know one day she will
be layed to rest,
but I will never
forget a miracle
for I am truly blessed.
She is the rose
planted in my heart,
her petals will always blume,
they will never wilt apart.

My love for her
will never stop
this I hope she knows,
Mom, I love you so
much more today,
For you truly are
God's Yellow Rose.




I dedicate this to my mom. Her favorite rose is a yellow rose. I was watching a special on Oprah Friday of family's that lost their mother's in the 9/11 tradgity. And it reminded me of how lucky and how blessed I am to still have her in my life. So no matter where your at in a relationship with your mom, tell her you love her, cause she is the only mom you'll ever get in life. Happy Mother's Day To All The Mother's here at USM. *huggs*
