He finds this beautiful Oil Burner and he buys it for her for mothers day. Well we meet up with his mom and then walk around the mall. Then we come to a different store with the same oil burner. I would still give it to her, with a little side note..I chose this from my heart..I know now that you do not like it so I have enclosed the receipt..do with it what you will..Happy Mother's Day!! xoxo

Date: 5/12/2002 11:50:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 23809    she knew we had bought her a gift but she didnt know what it was.
Date: 5/12/2002 2:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 53806    Ditch his mom and return it, buy something else, and ask no more questions!
Date: 5/12/2002 2:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 49742    Take it back, with the money you get from it get a gift certificate for her, and then she will get something she likes. She didn't know she was getting that. So tell your friend this, and tell your friend not to let his feelings be hurt. His mom wasn't trying to hurt his feelings, she was being honest by answering the question you both asked her. I don't think she knew why you asked her? In a round a bout way, was letting you both know not to buy it, if you were thinking of doing so. It's true it shouldn't be soo materialistic and the thought coming from the heart is most important. But you and her all know she dosn't like it so it wouldn't work now for everyone to pretend she does. You will all feel better knowing she got something she liked.
Date: 5/12/2002 3:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 48993    take it back......... buy a gift cert for a store she really likes ....... then take her to lunch and get her some flowers! LOL
Date: 5/12/2002 3:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    I'd say ditch his mum and keep the oil burner. but seriously that's why I ask my mum what she wants before I buy it. It was mothers day here yesterday and I bought my mum the Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman version of "Somethin Stupid". I asked her what she wanted and she told me so I bought it. Easy as.
Date: 5/12/2002 5:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 53820    I'd take it back and get something else that i new for Shaw shed like
Date: 5/12/2002 8:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 16069    He could always take it back and get something else. She might now like the looks of it, but its from her son, so of course she would still love the gift!
Date: 5/13/2002 2:32:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 23809    Hey Guys guess what! He gave her the gift and she loved it! The second one we saw had 2 dolphins on it and she didnt like it but she loves this one!
