~~~~~Its been a while since Ive posted anything but I found this little tidbit in the news and I thought I would share it with yall.
~~~~~Remember when you were little and your mother would take insect repelent and just drench you with the stuff.(then complain later that you stunk.) Well if she ever complains about your grades or that you forgot to throw out the trash or that you are a worthless bum that will never amount to anything, relate to her the following.
~~~~Some smart dude up at Duke university did a study and found out that DEET (thats whats in these products) kills cells in the part of the brain that controls muscle movement, learning, memory and concentration. The fella that wrote the report went on to say that if used sparingly and infrequently DEET may not have negative effects but that they should not be used in infants and and caution should be used on children.
~~~~With that said I just read a newsbrief concerning mosquitos and the spread of deseases might be in the increase. HMMM, So I guess I will be staying indoors in my lead-free painted house
