Is this normal?

Back in January I decided to lose some weight.I was aiming for 20 pounds. I have lost almost that amount, but the problem is that I don't feel like I put that much effort into it. It feels like it was too easy. I still eat junk food, although I drink alot of water. I do exercise, but not religiously. Now I'm getting paranoid. I'm starting to wonder if I have some health problem.

I think it might have to do with the fact that I used to skip breakfast every day and eat junk food for the rest of the day to compensate for skipping breakfast.I don't skip meals anymore. Could that be the reason for my easy weight loss? Could it just be that my metabolism is going back to normal?

Date: 5/11/2002 9:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    I wouldn't worry that much it's been several months, and it seems according to what you said you've altered your diet, and drinking all the extra water helps alot....
Date: 5/11/2002 9:51:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38119    Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I have changed my diet. It's not like I all of a sudden just started losing weight.I'm just being a hypochondriac!

Date: 5/11/2002 9:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 16069    Im sure it has to do with what you just said. Your metabolism is back on track. Good for you!
Date: 5/11/2002 10:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 49345    If your body has been in need to lose weight for a while, you will lose it quickly at first which explains your rapid weight loss at first... eventually it will run down. For your own good you should probably start eating a light breakfast, a bigger lunch, then a smaller supper. Keep all your meals wholesom and nutricious. Exercize in the afernoon.
Date: 5/11/2002 10:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38119    Thanks, everybody!
Date: 5/11/2002 10:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 53864    Everybodies metabolism and weight loss rates are different. Maybe yours is just faster
I wouldn't worry too much. But I'm so happy you lost the weight you wanted to. For some
reason I find it much harder. I just can't seem to lose the weight no matter what.
Date: 5/11/2002 10:06:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38119    49345,I think I did need to lose weight. I wasn't overweight or anything, but I just didn't think the weight looked good on my small frame.

Date: 5/11/2002 11:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 49742    I agree it's because you are eating healthier and drinking more water...Congratulations on your weight loss! Big Hugs Angelfollower
Date: 5/12/2002 2:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 51684    The only time that you have to worry about it being "too easy" is if you lose it too fast. If you started in January, and you haven't yet lost the total 20 pounds, I'm betting that you're doing fine. They say that a person should lose no more than 2 pounds a week. The "meal replacement" probably has a lot to do with it. P.S. Congratulations on your success! ~Charisma K.~
Date: 5/12/2002 12:03:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38119    Thank you all!
Date: 5/12/2002 1:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 45619    if you have been eating breakfast for a while now i'm sure that's what it is. your metabolism is starting to work properly, and your body is getting healthier. eating breakfast is very important to keep it up. but also don't eat junk food either. keep drinking water and eating breakfast and cut down on junk food. your body will thank you for it!~
Date: 5/13/2002 2:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 47696    Well just lower your calorie intake and exercise
more. It should work better. And drink water before
you eat so you wont eat as much fatty foods. It
could just be genetics in your family. But everyone
is diff. And eat breakfast not eating breakfast
can make you gain weight.
