Amistad, Have You Seen It? MissC ... Slavery in the USA

I have never seen the movie Amistad untik tonight. This was a very touching and intense story. I have done intense study on the history of the US and Slavery. It never ceases to amazi me, the treachery of the deeds commited in this time, so long ago, yet only ysterday...

Or was it only yesterday? Did you know that here, yes, here in the United States, there are still forms of slavery going on?

I know what you are thinking, a different kind of slavery, nothing like that in das of old. But days of old, are not so far behind us.

Here in Florida, there are slaves. As I am sure there are in many other places in our "Great Nation".

Yes, our nation is great, but we have the potential to be so much greater. We can be so much more America!

Here in Florida, you can buy, a woman or man, (Illegal of Course) to be your nanny, maid, or gardener. And I don't mean people who are paid tiny amounts of money to do things. I mean Slaves, bona fide slaves...

How sad. That a human can still be purchased like cattle. Like a pet, or a piece of clothing. And for the small price of only $1000.00.

In California, it is the Mexicans, in Florida the Cubans, and other islanders. As I am sure in other parts of the country, it is other illegal aliens. This is so sad.

I am not sure what else I am trying to say here, and I am unable to reveal my sources, as I am sworn to confidentiality, but I figured, posting here would be harmless. Or maybe not, and perhaps that was my true intention.

Well, that is all for now my friends.

I have much work to do now.
