alot of people write the 'no good' replies because they are just trying to build up their comment total for a tag...little do they know that the comments have to consist of 4 or more words to count...*Sigh* we're always gonna have the short pointless comments....I try not to leave them but we all do now and then....*Shrugs* just a part of usm I guess....  |

Sure the 4 words or less comments count. I don't think the admins actually check all of the stories to see if they have 4 or more words each. That would take too long, they see 200 or + comments and check to see if they have been here 2 months.  |

...I never intend to be rude in my replies (well, at least not most of the time), and I DO try and give a good opinion when I can. If I can't say something nice or at least constructively critical, then, and only then, do I start to pick on other respondents... people like Becky for example. I try and give good replies also..but if it's something that sounds weird or I don't know what to really say..I private message the author and let them know that I read it and that I really don't have alot to say..I can't tell you how many authors appreciate a private message just letting them know that you read there post.....  |

I know exactly what you're saying here! I remember when I was just a kid and Mom would go out into the garden and pick fresh vegetables. We would have corn, green beans, okra, tomatos and those little yellow squashes. Mom sure was a good cook way back then and Dad and I definately never starved. Can you believe that it's already May? I know that I can't! I sure do miss the good old days. Everything was better back then. Now, I'm stuck with eating a lot of pot pies and frozen burritos. Hey! I try to give replies if I have something to say but sometimes it's best to just not reply at all because if all there is to say is "great stuff" it becomes pretty dull. I agree with what 16845 say about people upping their comments to get their tag. I suppose we're all a bit selfish at times and although that's a motive for me, I'm more concerned with writing whatever I feel at the time. I loved Frankenstine's comment. He's a real hoot! What a comedian! And referring to what Princess Jen's just said about when comments being deleted, their tag total decreases: nope, it doesn't. My number's only increased even though I've had a couple of posts deleted. I think that's enough of me waffling on! See ya!  |
