I think that it's if your a christain then you have moments w/ god & he comforts you and stuff and and you have a bible and church and so many people to talk to they have christain schools not ghost schools |

I know that they're too completely different things... I would never suggest having a ghost school. You bring up a good point, but I just wonder how one is so much easier to believe than another. |

well, I believe in both. I think, however, that faith can be a lot harder sometimes, especially when things get bad. But I know that I believe in both the same. Not practicing....but in that both are possible |

Yeah I think a lot of people are like that, Odd. I kind of believe in the supernatural more than the religion idea, but I think religion is more widely accepted and I just wonder why. Thanks for your comment! |

I know there is a supernatural state out there. I knew and experienced it before I found God and even more so after I found God. I dont know why some people cant believe that the things you have mentioned DO happen, and are REAL. Good post. |

Most disregard the "super" natural simply because their religion tells them too. |

I dont believe in religion, but I believe in the supernatural. The supernatural gives nme something other than religion to believe in. +++ Mel +++ |

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm not necessarily saying that no one believes in both things... but I have known many people who will only believe one and refuse to believe the other. I just find it kind of strange... Ohhh well. |

I think people believe in religion more readily than in the supernatural because they have control over religion; by definition, they have no control over the supernatural. I can create my own religion from the eclectic mix of worldwide ideas; with the supernatural, I have to take what is offered. IMO, religion without the supernatural is a dead body; how can one serve a god and disregard or prohibit any contact by that god with his/her adherents? Great post. |

i grew up as a Baptist and I have read almost all of the bible. I have also searched for references on the super natural. There is nowhere that I have seen that sayes that there are not ufos and so on. Don't take my word for it because there may be a referance. Alot of people have to have something happen to them before they believe in it. I'm a very Godly person and weird stuff happens to me all the time. I'll tell some on and they think that I am nuts. |

To discuss this question rationally, you have to distinguish between the words: SUPERNATURAL and PARANORMAL. Supernatural: implies that there are entities, god or gods, angels or demons. Paranormal: ghosts, claims of ESP, Psychokinetic powers, UFO's, etc. |
