Date: 5/1/2002 10:22:00 PM From Authorid: 45630 We will stuff it up ourselves and we will be just another Mars. Aliens will find Earth and go "Well this planet has enough capability to form life we wonder why it hasn't". |
Date: 5/1/2002 10:23:00 PM From Authorid: 28848 Funny how the galaxies shrink and Space supposedly expands...huh? I watch the discovery channel a lot too..lol. |
Date: 5/1/2002 10:24:00 PM From Authorid: 52746 What a lovely thought to start the day! Oh well. Whatever happens I just don't want to be around to see it. |
Date: 5/1/2002 10:27:00 PM From Authorid: 21867 *agrees with KurVedder* Humanity will be the bringer of its own destruction...and I honestly don't think we'll have to wait too long for that either. Peace, |
Date: 5/1/2002 10:28:00 PM From Authorid: 52919 in 4 billion years or so, the milky way (our galaxy) will crash into Andromeda(a distant galaxy). the world's gonna end someday period. whether it's soon or not. who knows. |
Date: 5/1/2002 10:29:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 13886 Yeah, it was four billion years, not two million. I remember now. Thanks for clearing that up. |
Date: 5/1/2002 10:30:00 PM From Authorid: 49538 Couple of loopholes in your theory.....#1. The presence of black holes at the center of either of these two galaxies is purely speculation; there is no acceptable evidence to prove this. #2. It will take a LOT MORE than 2 million years for these galaxies to come within range of one another. #3. When dealing with black holes, in theory, time is something which no longer has consistency. For example, if you yourself Mike were yo be pulled into a black hole, the experience of such would be vastly different depending on the point of view. To you, the experience would only take a few moments. To someone watching from a distance, it would take centuries. Just though I'd point that out to you, Mike. You might want to get your science in check before making such a profound revelation to the ' doomsayers ' you apparently think you are disappointing. |
Date: 5/1/2002 10:32:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 13886 Like I said, it has been along time since I watched it. |
Date: 5/1/2002 11:00:00 PM From Authorid: 47699 Mike, I hold that theory as one of a possible two. The other is the chance that the sun will someday super nova and this planet will be destroyed. |
Date: 5/1/2002 11:01:00 PM From Authorid: 24003 Hmmm interesting. I just know I dont want to be around to see it, and since I wont live to be that old..its all good. lol |
Date: 5/1/2002 11:30:00 PM From Authorid: 28899 I have no idea, but I bet it would make a fantastic show |
Date: 5/2/2002 3:59:00 AM From Authorid: 19927 i will pray for all the people on earth 2,000,000 years from now. |
Date: 5/2/2002 5:53:00 AM From Authorid: 52360 Hm..I heard a thing that in 35/34 million years the sun will burn out and everything on earth will die. It seems like such a big waste of all that man, animals and everything has discovered to just let everything go. - Minimus |
Date: 5/2/2002 7:33:00 AM From Authorid: 2030 Not with a bang but with a wimper. we will eventually deplete every last resource and those that can will abandon the planet. Those that can't will slowly die out. |
