What Do You Think Is Overpriced?

Lately I've noticed the prices of soda have gone way high. I was at Target this morning and I was behind a woman who was buying a few 12 packs of Sprite and she mentioned that $4 was the cheapest she had been able to find them. I remember last summer you could get them for $1.66 on sale. I work at Linens N Things and we are seriously one of the most overpriced stores there is. We have these pillows that are $120 and we just cannot keep them in stock. People buy them 4 or 5 at a time. I've felt them and they feel no different than the $10 pillows from there that I own. We also have a strainer that sells for $25, candles for $20, and a trash can that is $200 (I kid you not). Just today a woman spent $400 on a set of 3 pots and pans. It's ridiculous the way things are priced today. Is anything in your town grossly overpriced?

Date: 3/13/2007 5:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 64365    Food, clothing, shoes, toiletries, cleaning products, laundry products, perfumes and colognes, make up, gas, oil, electricity, car maintenance, etc. etc. etc. All are way beyond reach of a lot of people who have below poverty level incomes....which is usually minimum wage. The cost of living has progressed while wages have not. This is a great post. Thanks for sharing.
