Well, in my daily life I do not wear black, and & usually do not wear my pentacle, only because I still have a ten-year old son at home. He is aware that I read cards, and do things with herbs, but I usually don't perform any ceremonies when he is around. I usually celebrate my Sabbats after dark, so I have privacy. And I don't miss work, because I am already home. I am in no way ashamed of who & what I am. My family & friends all know, and when the subject of religion comes up, ("why don't you go to church?" I am honest & forthright. I already have a strong reputation in my community & I am on the Board of Directors for my Home Owners Association. So, when people find out I am a Pagan, they are more curious than repulsed. That is my experience, anyway.....  |

I've never been harassed or anything, but I also dont go around saying I'm wiccan my friends know other wiccans know and anyone who asks about religious things knows |

although I don't consider myself wiccan I do admit I am a witch if asked.. I don't offer my beliefs as I feel they are private.. I am kind of a hodge podge witch i guess.. i believe in god and heaven and hell but I also have many other beliefs too...I am kinda in nature too.. if I am confuseing you don't feel bad I confuse myself when I think about it..lol.. if someone critizes my beliefs I try to explain it to them and hope maybe they become alil more enlightened.. but if they don't well thats ok too..to each his own..Just hold your beliefs close. and don't let anyone get you down...good luck and god bless...much love  |

You are not alone we are still learning as we greetfully agreed our beliefs.It is you stands to all what comes to you.People have quite differences and that what makes our life interesting.It is best at times to let things be and moved on to our own world.

I use to do all u are doing and realized there are some real religious cracked nuts out there who were gonna hang or burn me! Be proud of who you are, but just be careful. I met a Man who has been a pastor here and he started talking about how God killed a man that told him God was fake. And he asked God to kill him. I thought that was pretty messed up. I have had people hit me with things after seeing my pentacle. My sister is wearing a pentacle her other sister gave her and everyone is calling her the anti-Christ. So I sent her all kinds of info on what the pentacle means and they beat her up for explaining. I dated a Christian guy who was madly in love with me. He broke up with me after his mother told him he was sinning and shall burn with the witch. Nothing meant bad to Christians by the way. The after we split his roomates X girlfriend who was pregnant with his baby was throwing eggs at their house and prank calling. Of course I was the first to be blammed. Here I was mad to high your know what because my heart was sad about the break up. Then they came over here demanding the truth out of me like we were ina witch trial. The whole town was talking about the Witch. Even though we have freedom of religion there are still very ignorant people out and about. Now I have religious friend;s who love me but are secretly trying to confort me and then the ones who just love me for me. I have talked to alot of Pagans and found I am not the only one who has one into problems. Although sometimes it is a pleasent exerience, but explaining it can get old LOL Just be proud and always remember you are representing Pagans everywhere. I have noticed most people get upset about me because some wannabe Pagan set a terrible example and so this person thinks we are like her. Good luck and Goddess Bless.  |
