Its a good idea, but in most cases, someone here knows someone else and can call them and find out from them whats up... like when Firstborn was gone for so long, I had to keep everybody knowing what was going on, so usually someone is close to someone else you can always ask questions.... well I for one completely agree I think an email addy is required to sign on *I think!?!?* but sometimes that's not good enough. good lord I know I disappeared for not even 24 hours because excite went bankrupt and I couldn't get to a computer that had internet access and I had been gone less than 24 hours and people were asking LOL....I DO agree here!!! the only other thing I could see that would work would be like the 'buddy' system but that takes time to build trust in someone....either that or recruite a friend or family memeber to usm  I did that with my momma LOL so If something ever happens to me she'll either inform ya'll or Danny *zadyen* will  but I do like this idea...I think it would even come in handy for the very few 'suicide' posts that crop up every now and then.  |

i think that phone number and address aren't a good idea since all the stories are everywhere (yahoo, google, etc), HOWEVER, i simple 'email me' link would be a very, very, very good idea!!!  |

It's hard to imagine, but many people get involved with their real lives outside of UMS sometimes...lol!! They may come to a place where they prefer to take care of things around them more than playing on the net all the time. I know at times I am so busy it's hard to find time to come here. I start work Monday and attend their school on top of it, then I start back to college in the fall. So, I will be coming here less than normal. There are people that could contact me though, like Agent Smith, Gail, Antona, I live in the same place as Princess Amy, Buffalo Soldier, and King Caspian, tbey know how to reach me. Also, I believe Radman and Ginger still have my phone number. But some might think it rude to be called without permission anyway...Love to you,  |

I was actually thinking of this the other day, I think it is a great idea. Some people on USM have my phone number already though, I assume they would call me if I had a long dissapearence. this is a great idea though. I guess in the meantime you could give your number to another member you trust here.  |
