Do you prefer buffets or do you order from the menu?

I used to eat at buffets because you could save a little on your meal. One day I saw a child picking up food and looking at it and smelling it and putting it back! The parents said nothing to the kids, that cured me of buffets, imagine the germs from handling the same utensils as many other hands have, maybe clean hands, maybe not. How about the person sneezing and coughing on your food, ugh! Do you think about these things? I prefer to order from the menu. I realize that can happen in the kitchen too, but there's that old saying, "what you don't know won't hurt you".

Date: 4/27/2002 9:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    Depends on the restaurant, I tend to order from the menu because I stay mostly with salads but don't really care for "salad bars". Seafood buffets at a nice restaurant though are my weakness, the only red meat I have is an ocassional filet mignon at a very nice and old family restaurant where kids are usually not brought. I don't eat out a lot but when I do I much prefer quality over quantity.

Date: 4/28/2002 6:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 51106    It depends on the restaraunt, if I eat at a chinese place I like the buffet. But some other places I just prefer the menu. Hansongirl
