I never really gave mirrors much thought. But after reading this, especially the last sentence, I have to say it's a bit creepy. I read a UL on this site stating that if a woman goes into a dark room that has a mirror and peels an apple, while standing in front of the mirror, and removes the peeling in one peice, she will see the man she will marry. I was also told by my friend's mother that if you stand in front of a mirror in a dark room, holding a candle in front of you, you will get glimpses of your past, or your future (I can't remember which). My friend's mother said she tried it and it worked. I never tried either, though, so I don't know how true they are.  |

I don't use mirriors to summon up magic or to go to any other dimensions...I use it to do my hair. I have found things that reflect my image let me do my hair better.-VitalDeath  |

I've always believed that some other world lived on the other side of the mirror. Perhaps, it's our true twin and maybe at night they escape and roam the earth pretending to be us. |

I believe that mirrors are closed trans-dimensional doorways (portals to other dimensions), but that there is no way to open it, except from the inside.  |

i know what 'lurks/lives' behind mirrors. a different world than ours. if ur poor on <i>this</i>side of the world, then on the other side of mirror, ur rich. it's an opposite life then the one we're living. |

after i posted the last reply, i read some of the other replies. the person that said they 'come' into our world pretending to be us, it doesn't happen. they think their world is the world we think is the fake world. they think it's real and that ours is fake. they can't get into it any more then we can. |
