I think what some should remember is that we were ALL newbies at one time and had to get to know others and put ourselves out there to be known..the more well known you are, the more you will find that people will look you up and reply to your stories...Kind of like paying your dues..LOL..xoxo  |

Wonderful post, Raz! It needed to be said and you said it well indeed. If the titles are interesting, they will get attention. If the content is interesting, they will get replies. That's a simple enough equation as well. As for leaving replies being connected to receiving them, you get what you give in life. That applies to everything and USM is no different.  |

I never get upset over lack of replies. Sometimes I just wonder about working hard writing a good debate, then seeing one like "Freddy vs. Jason" get over 30 replies. But I guess if they didn't have anything intelligent to say they are better off in a debate between fictional horror movie charachters. Sometimes I feel bad because most people 1st came here looking for paranormal stuff and there aren't as many paranormal stories as there are discussion and debates. So one day I replied 50 stories on the Mysterious Happenings page. Also now I try not to reply to stories from people who only get replies because they are popular. I make more of an effort to reply to good stories rather than ones by certain authors.  |

I didn't even realise that you could get jealous over replies.. Personally I'm glad for all the replies that i do get regardless of how many..

Yeah, I didn't even know people were jealouse. When I make a "HOW MANY REPLIES DO YOU HVAE?" post, I make sure that I tell the people who don't have much because it's the quality in the comments not the numbers!! xo xo xo, |

AMEN RAZ!!!! Instead of sitting back complaining that no one is replying to your stuff, go out and submit as many as you can, and soon, VERY soon they will be replying to yours..  This is really very wise words Raz, and I hope people listen to ya.. Oh yeah, as an afterthought, how can one expect lots of replies if they dont give any? Ya know?  |

I average around 14 to 15 replies per post. Some I get more and some I get less. Mostly less though. But I don't care it just means that what I find interesting others don't so I have to work hard to write things that are more interesting to other usmers.  |

I just did the math & I average about 12 replies per post. I thought it might be more but that's okay! I like the number 12!
