Try blocking the sender.thats what i did for 'Daily deals in your email' and it worked.There should b an option on your inbox page,hope this helps. |

if you click the exclusive option in your hotmail nothing can get thru except: the people in your address book and msn, hotmail, and slate offers, because hey they have to pay for your free account some how ! so they spam you with their stuff!! get rid of junk mail all together and then you will be fine! i did this cuz the same thing was happening to me , now i can check my mail once a month and i usually only have about 6-10 junk mails from msn ect!! hope this helps!~~~~~daniedarlin  |

I've been having that very same problem. I can't block anymore of the emails either because i've reached my blocking limit of 250! i've wrote to them about it and complained but i still get them. I have no idea what to do and if you find out PLEASE let me know. *hugs*  |

Oh boy this is a beef that I agree with.
I get spammed everyday with porn. Don't need it, don't want it and have also complained to Hotmail
but nothing gets done. Most of it gets junked but some does get through and it really pees me off.

This is rotten! I block senders and also tell my friends to quit sending forward e-mails that has everybodies addresses. Anyone can get your e-mail addie and you never know who will decide to enter your address to one of those nasty sites. Also, it seems if I even try another chat site, every creepy person wants to send me a nasty pic! If I don't know the person, I delete.  |

Hi Soe! Me too! I wonder what they would be able to get done if we all cancelled our accounts?! Another thing that has happened that I've complained about is that some chinese website has used my address to Spam others! When I confronted Hotmail with it, even gave the numeric web address to them, I was told, "change your password"! Duh! What will that do!?! I could change my return addy. to anything I want without passwords! Good grief! More trouble than it's worth! |

My teenager decided to cruise the net one time looking at porn (she is grounded for life) and all of the sudden I'm getting the porn junk mail, but only a few at a time. Before I delete it I always block the e-mail address it came from, maybe that would help you. I hardly get any now...  |

Yes it happens to me and my hubby  ...one night I got over 30,000 emails on that subjust matter...and hotmail was getting on my back over the limit of emails I had received like it was my fault...I've had used the 250 limit on blocking....I fianlly emailed hotmail and told them to do something about it, that I had enough of this...I no more delete only to find 2500 more emails....I complained to hotmail more and told them to protect my rights and I got someone who seems to care cause after about the third night of putting up with deleting to no end my junk mail had nothing more in it and hasn't since....and I got a nice email from a person with usm saying how sorry they were and it would not continue....  |

hey TAC, something that i realized, is that the govt has recently been doing a huge 'sting' on child porn people..they arrested several here in arkansas, it says they were sending material through IM's and such and that is how they caught them...i can remember several times getting links to sites and stuff with the person saying 'i thought you might like this site' or something like that..and i've wondered, is that what they did to catch those people? send you al ink and then if you download some child porn they come arrest you... |

stop using that account for awhile and then when your box fills up they will be bounced back at the people who send them to you saying it is not available. After about a month you can go back to that account and use it without having a ton of junk mail coming in.  |

I have hotmail, too, and had the same problems with general junk mail, as well as porn junk. Finally, I set my mail setting to Exclusive, meaning that only mail from my address book and safe list would come. I also blocked the addresses from which I do not wish to receive mail. This has helped immensely. Perriannen.  |

Hey TAC, I have a yahoo account, and only rarely recieve porn spam, but my friend recieves a ton of unsolicited porn in his yahoo account. Blocking the account only works sometimes, because they just seem to creat a new address and send you another one. You might consider getting a new e-mail adn just giving that address out to close friends and family. I don't give my address out to much, and I think that is why I don't get much junk mail.
