DUDE! my teacher actually wanted a copy of this poem i made.....innocent gurl

***~my teacher asked me if she could have a copy of my poem. i honestly didn't think it was all that gr8 cuz for one thing, its a little screwed up in some places and since i remembered that it was due the next day, i thought of it in about 10 minutes. SHHH, dont tell my teacher ;) haha... then later, she said that she was keeping all the poems that everyone had made for a certain reason. so that made me a lil nervous lol. but anyway, i wrote this for a book project. the book was called "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" by Lurlene McDaniel. It's a really sad book you should read it! enjoy! :)~***

"Try Not To Cry For Me"

"Even if my whole world
*Has been turned upside down
I’m not afraid
To leave the place
*Where the world goes around and around
I watch as people weep and sob
As they watch me drift away
I wish they could know
That the place I’m where I’m going
*Will protect me and keep me safe
A place where the flowers grow
*Where people rest in peace
The place where God’s creatures
*Can walk, run, and leap
I know you feel that I’m gone for good
*And that I’ll never be around
But I’ll always be with you
Even if
*I’m no where to be found
So please don’t shed
A tear for me
*And think about the times that we’ve shared
Be sure to also think about
*How much I had cared
I’m still watching you
From up above
*The heavenly blue skies
Even if
You cannot see me
*With your two eyes"
