I believe in God and the devil only because that is what I feel in my heart. I don't consider myself weakminded however...If I were I surely would not have survived this life. I can't give you advice or tell you what to do. Just do what you feel in your heart..sometimes its hard to hear what your heart is saying because its buried under so many other things. |

...we tend to believe only what we can perceive...and we tend to perceive only what we can conceivably believe There...is that riddle enough for ya Basically...we make sense of things around us as we see fit to...but its always good to remind ourselves that our perceptions are not the dictator of 'truth'...for 'truth' exists regardless of if we acknowledge it or not... |

Jack, If you say "I still wonder if...." and "when I think of God..." (statements like that), then that means you are an Agnostic. You're not really sure one way or the other. I am an Atheist, (Lack of any god belief). I find no reason to believe; nothing that makes any sane, logical sense to me. I do understand why most people feel the need to believe; and if that gives them comfort or hope, that's fine. We should all be able to co-exist in peace and harmony. Unfortunately, as is evident throughout history, religious zealots and fanatics just gotta insist that everyone else must believe as they do. To me, religion is at the core; it is the basis for all human misery and conflicts around the globe. Fanaticism, bigotry, hypocrisy & hatred....is what I have seen so far, and I have little hope that it will ever change. I wish you well in your quest for truth, Jack . |

I believe in a lot of things but I don't condemn anyone who dosn't. I know what you mean about people seeming to be judgemental and checking out what everyone is wearing, checking out who comes to church and who misses. Letting everyone's personal life be everyone's knowledge. I don't understand how some religions and christian faith, have so many different things they believe, is right and wrong. For example I have had friends that are of the Morman Faith they're not supposed to drink caffeine yet they do. I tried a baptist church for awhile...they didn't believe in drinking alcohol yet they would be outside puffing away on cigs before church started...Then the Catholic religion would have priests that smoke and drank. Jesus drank wine. Then there are Jahova Witnesses that don't allow anything and believe that earth is heaven... and all sinners will be removed except for the ones who follow their faith and have been saved.... These are what I have been told by people of each faith. I was of Catholic Religion when I was a child. It was in Latin for many years, till they changed it to spanish/English. I went to catachism on saturdays... that was how I understood anything, along with catholic school, till second grade. Because of the same reasons you stated in your Post... I chose to have a relationship with God one on one. I don't have to wait till Sunday to put on a show at church to have a relationship with him. I have God in my heart everyday of my life. I try to do good and I ask for forgiveness when I do wrong and am truly heartfully sorry for my sins. I feel God dosn't care what you wear or where you are when you are with him. This reply is in no way to put down anyone's faith what so ever. I was giving a view point of what I understand of it....I am not putting down anyone's faith or beliefs and please don't put down mine fair enough. This isn't meant at you the author either...Angelfollower |

My grown children introduced me to first christian church. That was the first time I felt like the minister made any sense and was actually talking to me. The Sermans are easy to understand and deal with the now. They make sense when they use the bible verses with the now. Angelfollower |

You arnt the first Human Clone are you? LOL I'm only kidding! Your life and beleifs do sound a bit empty, kinda Soulless, like what some think a clone would be like. However we both know you do have a soul and it is Hungry. If you really want a filling for your soul, I have to recomend Jesus Christ. His body and blood is a complete smorgasboard. I know you said you have tried it in the times past, but try it again. I was told, as being a boy growing up, your taste changes every Seven Years. So try Him again! You might learn to Love Him! He Truly loves you! |

In my understanding you are not any atheist but someone who doesn't know one way are another. There is a God. Just as sure as the sun rises and falls there is a God. |
