How exactly DOES a Ouija Board WORK?!?!!? ~Corky

Hey all!!!!

First of all, let me say that I read the ouija stories on this site and other sites almost religiously. I see what everyone says about ouija boards: the warnings and other such things.

Now...onto the purpose of this post....My sister-in-law and I have tried twice to play with a ouija board (Yes I know...we are tempting fate) and nothing has happened.

So I was just wondering...when people really do communicate with spirits through a ouija board, does the planchette move fast or slow? Does the room get a weird vibe or drop in temperature?

Just let me know what has happened to those of you who have used it please....I just want to know if we are doing something wrong.

THANKS!!!! See you guys!!!

How it changed my life:

It didn't! I promise! I haven't lost ANY sleep over it!

Date: 4/6/2002 11:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Hiya Corky. Never have used one myself. Once when my daughter was about 14 years old, and spending the night at a friend's house, I had to get up in the middle of the night to go and pick her up. She was pretty shook up. Seems that the friends mother had a board and something scared Robin pretty bad. Might've just been the power of suggestion, I dunno. I have talked to some that say it's only a toy. Others swear that they can connect with spirits...Let me know if you have any luck...lol..See ya and write on....
Date: 4/6/2002 11:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    Plug it in, fire it up and if it starts to get hot or vibrate or get really hot, head for the hills! Unplug that sucker immediately and throw it back in it's box. LMAO!

Date: 4/7/2002 12:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 28946    Corky, did you ever read my post on it? Sweetie, everyone gets curious, just be careful, okay? The panchette goes slow at first. HUGS! http://unsolvedmysteries.com/usm141920.html
Date: 4/7/2002 7:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 10915    Hi Corky sis! I will say from my personal experiece, don't use one! I was threatened with my life from a spirit when I have used it. The planchette starts off slowly. You ask it questions as you move along. You lightly touch the thing for it is the suppose energy from you that the spirit feeds from that moves the thing. I know that curiosity can get the best of anyone, but I am just letting you know that they are very very dangerous and I wouldn't recommend you nor your sister to play with it or have it in your homes. Love ya!!!
Date: 4/7/2002 1:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 47983    It depends on how much energy is driven in the planchette.. Rooms don't always drop into temperature.. if they do then that's ok, since spirits are cold, and you ARE contacting spirits...~*Jeset*~
Date: 4/7/2002 6:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 17259    It depends if the person believes... Some people just aren't able to be a spirit magnet. It is also important to have a good atmosphere (lighting, maybe some Instrumental flute/eastern/african/piano music etc.)...

Depending on your religion, you should partake in some sort of prayer or mantra and do breathing exercises, cleanse your mind of all distractions...

Date: 8/30/2002 2:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 16376    I used to be an avid Ouija user when I was like 10, its pretty simple to use. You do have to be careful when you are using it though, if you start getting scared you should stop
