I live in Calif. I have been to the south and I think it's pretty. I like the greenery and the weather except I've only been there in Dec..April and May...I hear it's pretty muggy in the summer months like in June...My Son and His family live there ( in the Marines) they are from Calif. They live in SC. I've been there six times. I love Savanna, Ga. Charlston, SC. Orlando, Fla. My relatives on my mom's side live in Mo. I like it there too. Took the greyhound bus from west coast to east coast the farther south we went the prettier I thought it was. Hilton Head is neat cause I golf...Angelfollower |

How about this backwards town I'm living in! There are 800 people in my town. Everything is extremely expensive, like double to price of its worth. The people are fake and nosy and everyone gossips and talks about everyone else behind their backs. The newly elected mayor is one of the biggest trouble makers in the town. She has a thing against cops and has the plan to fire them all except two so that there can be only one on duty at a time. Last year she drove her car into some building protesting the law that you can't ride horses down main street while intoxicated and she's been arrested for drug use several, several times. What kind of mayor is this? Lol I really think my town takes the cake. |

Well, Moreno.. to us true southerners YOU talk funny.. *grin*.. just kidding, we do talk different but we are NO different in the way the world of Gossip revolves... it is the SAME everywhere. I have lived in Florida, California, Canada and Tennessee.. and I prefer my homestate of Alabama. It is beautiful here, our crime rate is low, and we still have that old-fashioned respect factor... So the South is given a bad name and most people have pre-conceived ideas about it. You may not have liked the part you were in because you werent happy, but the South is wonderful... sorry to disagree.. huggggs.... |

I don’t like country or any country related environment. We have a cottage upstate New York (Watkins Glen) and there is nothing to do in that town and the people are so boring and nothing ever goes on. I can only stay up there for so long then I go nuts. I like New York though. I like Manhattan because it’s always busy and alive. |

Where did you live in the South? I live in Texas and it's alright. I've never been to any other states though, so I don't really have anything to compare it with. I probably have a southern accent, but I don't notice it. It depends on where you eat if the food is greasy or not, that's why I usually don't like some bar-b-que places. People here have nice houses and nice cars, especially in the town I live in. I actually wished there were more poor people in my town, because I'm tired of seeing spoiled rotten 16 year olds get $30,000 locomotive-like trucks for their birthdays. For the most part I like living here because I live on a farm and I live far away from the road so my pets are not roadkill. But I live in an extremely conservative boring town, so there is nothing to do here. I'm pretty sure that some movies are banned from our theaters, because it just might "outrage the town" and "corrupt" the children. In my town you just don't wear a Marilyn Manson t-shirts to the local grocery store with out upsetting someone LMAO! |

Rome, NY! There's nothing to do, no jobs, it's frigid in winter, more empty storefronts than open businessess, no single guys (most of them have moved out), not a lot of open-mindedness, the roads are falling apart, a weekly newspaper that sucks up to those who already have it all but leaves the rest of us out, no radio stations, no variety in the stations you do get, buildings and signage look like they haven't been updated since the 70's, no night clubs, no coffeehouses, no social life, no school spirit, it's a dying mill town that everybody is leaving (the only reason why I haven't left is because there are no jobs anywhere right now in graphic design!!!)
