Okay, this sounds a little bit like a polterguiest to me. You see, the difference between a haunting and a polterguiest is that a polterguiest can be caused by the people who are still in our realm... Yourself. No, I am not saying you are crazy, or doing these things on purpose. Many things can cause a polterguiest. They are most commonly found in hamoes with teens. Why? Because of the personal energy you give off. This energy, if you have a certain strength, can not only intensify the enrgy in your surroundings, being given off by imprints of previous inhabitants, but it AMPLIFIES the imprints. Thanks Crysania. I actually have psychic abilities that I am fine tuning. Ive seen things/heard/understood ect things all my life. I am 23 now, not quite a teen. I believe in the reality of electrical energies (both from us as well as appliances) & believe that 'spirits' use this as a conductor into our world and as a way of communicating. But its also the feelings I get that I base my confusion on. The woman spirit was kind, I sense another woman but it feels like shes only half of the same person. But there is something far more I just cant figure. I think it has something to do with others in our building. I know one problem Ive had is that my emotions are either feeding or being fed off of because Im ultra sensitive lately. I dont believe it to be a polterguiest really, but I cant say why that is. Then agian I dont really like classifying the various forms so it could be.  |

Your number 5 about the shadow man with a hat gave me chills. I too, have this in my kitchen as well. The man that walks outside the windows and even opens the outside door but not the door to the kitchen is strange. Each window he passes, he is wearing a different colored hat of either brown, white or black. He is whistling a happy tune. This figure with a hat has come to me many times since becoming a member of USM... I thank Goddess that I am not alone, and I thank God that I can attest that this shadowy form does exsist.. so cool.. *hugs*  |

thanks for not using dude, a lot in your story. The way you tell it is clear english. I wonder If I may make an observation from what you read? I feel that the reason you and your husband have paranormal activity is that you both are ready to understand it in mindful awareness, and accept the psychic doors being unlocked and opened. The telepathy between you both sharing each others mind in a way that marital trust is absolut and above reproach. None that I can think of has that. There is a purpose, just do not let the so called real world poeple teach you two to fear your awareness.  |

Interesting...okay, I'm gonna go on gut-feelings I'm getting reading this: I feel that it actually wouldn't make much difference moving to a new place for I feel that your problem will only follow you around. Which then leads to two possibilities. 1.You have an attachment spirit...it is somehow linked to you or your family...and so by moving you will NOT leave it behind...it will follow. Though...what I also suspect is 2.Who old is your child? When did these occurances start? Was it near or after your childs birth? ow does Draven react to these events? Does Draven see them, or is Draven oblivious to them? The reason i ask is that it kinda sounds like PK (psycho-kenetic) energy from Draven. Its a rare, yet in some families, common occurance for a child to actually sort of be a beacon - in that it can not only attract, but also generate psychic/spiritual energy...which can cause events much like would be akin to poltergiest behaviour (what you are experienceing with the doors and sounds). If Draven is oblivious to these events that i would be even more inclined to suspect PK from Draven. I'll wait to read any reply before I suggest any further action...if ya want any advice or any opinions, ya can always message me. Peace,  |

Great questions agent smith. I think you are right about moving, but its happening anyway, the apt isnt peaceful at all. Im not sure if its my emotions effecting the spirits or vice versa.
attachment spirit, intresting, could be the woman from our last apt. Draven is 10 months right now, these things have always happened to me but for these spirits who were in our last apt, 3 years ago. The man with the hat is new tho, he may have been here the whole time (we moved here in July 2000, I became pregnant end of Aug that year) Ive felt bad about that corner of apt since we moved in, but he has presented himself only in the last 3months or so. Draven dosnt seem to react very much as far as we can tell, she does go on bouts of holding long coverations with herself and sometimes laughing for no reason at all. But being a first time parent I dont know weather its something funny or if its just baby stuff. Ive tried looking at her pics for orbs or something but see nothing. Im thinking about trying EVP next but I know very little about it. I have to point out that the doors and sounds are not unusual, sounds for me at least are not, I am overly receptive and have had experiances where I thought someone was talking to me (without thinking) then look around and Im alone. No its not mental illness either lol, my sister has the same experiances. On a trip to England a few years ago I was asking a person in a castle we were visiting some questions, she was dressed in a period costume. She answered my questions and I turned to my mom who called me and when I turned back she was gone. My mom, who could see me clearly said there was no one there for me to talk to. So hearing things isnt odd, doors was something that happened at our old apartment as well. I do know that there are heightened emotions in the apt right now, stress, frusturation, anger...I think that these might be fuling the activity but not making it. Know anything of EVP? |

EVP? As it relates to the paranormal? Well...I do know of 'Electronic Voice Phenomena'...is that what you were thinking off? Whereby a spirits voice is recorded using magnetic tape and/or digital recording devices. And don't worry...I wouldn't suggest the voices you hear are any form of auditory hallucination...as they aren't strangers to me either I wonder if you do have an attached spirit that has been following you around...I wonder if it is at all jealous about Draven...ya know, like some pets get when a newborn arrives...they throw sulks because someone new is there and getting the attention now. Could explain the stress/anger/frustration that is flowing there. Hey, just coz something is a spirit doesn't mean its devoid of 'human' emotions like petty jealousy I suspect that Draven is interacting with the spirit...young newborns especially have the ability to see what is normally hidden from us. As when you think about it, a newborn is as close to a spirit as you can get...they have only recently acquired physical form...in that Dravens 'soul' didn't just start existing from the moment she was born...the soul is eternal...so Draven, just like you/I/everyone was once a free soul...so she is probably still adjusting to a 'physical' existance...thats my theory anyway. ...and oh, more info on EVP: When I was younger I was part of a 'Ghostbusting' group that cleansed area/people of entities. I was the 'spotter' and basically tracked down and isolated the spirit. During my late teens/early twenties I helped a group who was studying the paranormal, in particular Ghosts. They used EVP during 'stake-outs' in hot areas where I picked up a lot of spook activity. The equipment they used was pretty high-tech, and I've always wondered WHO was funding them...as they had thermal imaging and everything...which recorded an area in reference to temperature changes. They also used Electro-Magnetic and Static recorders to pick up energy fluctuations in that area. The results were quite interesting...more than once the thermal imaging registered an image of some sort. As for EVP, they used a digital multi-track recorder...using 'sound-grabber' microphones (basically flat microphones you stick on walls or windows, so the surface it is stuck on effectively becomes a large microphone). They ran these sound-grabber mics into separate inputs, and each input ran through an equalizer set to a specific frequency range. This separated the sound range, and so helped to isolate any sounds recorded. What they found was that they would record any strange sounds, voices etc predominately between the frequency 20-40hz. As I say...I don't really know who these guys were, or who was funding them...I had some experience in Radio work and Sound Engineering/Broadcasting, so I recognised the equipment they were using was VERY expensive. They were referred to me by a friend who moved in similar circles as me, and they wanted me to help them track spooks...paid me cash and I got the feeling they didn't want me asking too many questions either. Totally suspicious bunch of people. They would also take me to some pretty far-out places, like the middle of fields WAAAAY out in the middle of nowhere, and see if I picked up anything at those places, record the results and leave. I got the feeling that someone had commissioned them to do some form of investigation. Hey, I was getting paid so I wasn't asking too many questions. Peace, |

Ive too thought about moving. I freq hear my doors open or shut,on occasion a couple of my kids heard it too,then they are thinking im not so crazy. I once saw a "cloud" hover over my firstborns crib. Somehow new it was her greatgramawho never cared much for me . I was scared for my baby. Good luck to you. aceylee |

In a way, I'm jealous because I would love to be in tune with the paranormal, and in another way, it scares me , mainly the shadows of a man. Who is this man in a hat that seems to visit so many???
