I cannot stand when someone deletes my reply because it doesnt agree with them..I tend to steer clear of those people once they start doing that..why waste my time replying if they are only going to delete it anyway? xoxo  |

LOL Yes, I've noticed how some people delete comments that they don't agree with. If that happens I usually just tell them it isn't nice to delelte comments that they don't agree with, then after that I put back what they deleted. I don't think I have ever deleted anyones comment. I didn't even delete one that called me a snob LOL! I don't know what they were talking about? It was some crazy anonymous replier and I left their comment up so everyone would see how dumb they were!  |

Well here's a good fact-- Those who don't understand their opponents' arguments, do not truly understand their own. Those are the ppl who delete the comments and such. I feel sorry for them....  |

I guess it depends....I've seen some people delete comments simply because someone doesn't agree with them....and I've seen some delete comments because they are being attacked personally instead of the person commenting on the topic of the post. I think it's too general just to ask if it bothers you to have a comment deleted.....in general I might say yes....but if you know that you have baited or attacked a person then I think it would only bother you because you don't have control over the person doing the deleting.  |

I hate it when it's a debate or something and you share your view which could be opposite and they delete it. or a regular post. like on this post, if i were to say "you know what, it doesn't bother me" and it would be deleted. i hate it when people do that, and i've only deleted a few comments in my whole 1 year and 9 months here   |

AlienLIfeForm: I rarely delete. I did delete one time this week and it was because a comment was totally not approiate for the post. Not that it was going against me, but the language wasnt really great. I usually like to keep them up for others to see, and then just ignore them. Kelsey77, me too. |

I read them but I read knowing that the author is seeing what they want to see. Even lying and making assinine assumptions about honest comments that meant no harm. Comments that wouldn't even raise an eyebrow to most. But "some" like to play "the victim". I know exactly what you mean, FirstBorn! LMAO! And I know exactly what you are talking about, because I have seen it before it was deleted...LOL! Some people....if there isn't an issue to raise attention for them they create one.  |

I saw one like that earlier tonight, a comment deleted that spoke only the truth, and if one has been here long enough truth isn't hard to find. When someone has something festering, sooner or later it comes out, I may read the stories sometimes, but I never waste time commenting, not even worth it.  |

Thats what I like about debate, if ONE is really Truthfull and seriouse about what they are tallking about then THEY will have the nerve to put their post in debate, KNOWING that they can NOT run a bias post. |

Hi Firstborn, uh...yeah, I think they can. And, I think I know which recent post would fit this subject. I sat there and had to really think about the rude, abusive, mean, vicious, slaying with words things I said on that post (obviously joking). The topic addressed how someone's identity was in question. I addressed the subject in my comment with why they looked suspicious (continually mentioning the same people connected to the person she was being accused of being, promoting the former member's website, defending and using the name of the former member in comments when it had nothing to do with her, etc.) and how if the new person expected to be taken seriously as someone new, they were not going to gain points by using this person's former member status. As I pointed out, and my opinion was drawn on from open discussions on the front page many times during the nasty behavior that was displayed, and it was the general conclusion of the person's "actions" by most everyone HERE at that time. The new member might have known that if she had been coming here 2 years as she claimed. If I remember right, I came at the same time as the former member, 19 months ago. I have nothing against the former member...but her behavior was mean spirited and hurtful. I was ignored by her myself once the religious war broke out. I never took it personal. I just stopped offering a kind word in personal messages to her. I plan to avoid discussing this subject with the new person, if indeed thats the case, and just let the truth come out. She isn't hurting anyone. But neither was I.  |

Thunderhead:, I know of the comment your talking about, I read it and I did not see any of the things that mentioned by you, that was *credited* to you. I thought that really sucked. To me it was a out and out lie about your words and not one thing you could do to defend yourself as your next comment in which you said basically, "that there was no malicouse* comment the first time, was also deleted. Now to me, that just promotes the fact that the whole thing on the part of the author, is false. And your right there was much nasty behavior or that person wouldnt have been kicked off in the first place. I've nothing against the former member either, except for the mean spirit and hurtfull actions that were displayed. No your not hurting anyone, your a good good person, my amen sister. But remember this as I do:: The Lord will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts. Everything done in darkness, WILL be brought into the light. Yeah..What I dislike though is when there is a group of Biased people attacking anothers subject and the person themselves because it does not match thier own thoughts and feelings in life but claim later that no harm was done and get away with it. Then later get all offended when thier own subjects are put to the test back. That is what I care about and bugs me. People who may or may not have been attacked or not and deleted your comment because it did not match thier view. Well I myself wouldn't mind if my comment was deleted because they have the right to do so. Its what this site is all about.. Freedom to your stories and your opinions.( Just like now you could delete my reply if you wished  Peace2Ü  |

well, wiley thats a good thing. Now for myself as you have noticed, i've studied the bible lots and have formed my opinions on this subject so yes, I'm going to say what I'm convicted of. And your religion, while its really tempting to *drag* it out of you, I respect the fact that you choose not to tell what it is. The fact being that a person is a person, a person can have no religion and be the greatest person I've ever met. Then there can be another that speaks, walks and talks religion, I mean so Holy bound they are no earthly good and have hearts cold as ice. So religion doesnt make the person, their heart does. And on that small note, I must go to bed. I hope you had a good time. Oh and did I tell you, My book finally got published!! I'm so happy about it.
