End of the day,
The parking lot's deserted-
Buildings-
The only things holding up the sky.
Strike a match
And light one up-
I am already burning inside...
Focused on the
Far Away,
I felt the fear
Of "disappear",
While that "our song"
Of someone else's
Played away.
I could scream at the top of my lungs
And it would still sound
Lukewarm,
Under this heavy sky...
Don't think I didn't notice

You smoked hard...

Date: 4/6/2002 6:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    Lordy me Anabel. First thing that came to my mind was, "She's watching me.." Oh well, you know me..lol..Structural support. Where are you? Far...but still so close. Cross the great plains...Onward to the high desert. God,...I smoke too much..lol..I've gotten used to these high-octane poems of yours, Anabel. Dynamite...Write on....
Date: 4/6/2002 6:45:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34775    Thank you oh so much my friend!! Smoking is something that I find to be completely social and actually something that indicates a lot more of what is going on inside someone..."smoking hard"...sometimes a situation calls for such things...Honored as always, to have you visit my post~

Date: 4/8/2002 12:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 44404    elegantly blunt in its creation as only you can write it annie. euphamism city. this is beautiful in its own way. "pretty on the inside, pretty from the back," I think.
Date: 4/8/2002 6:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 19092    Good Morning Anabel, first log on in a couple days so I'm reviewing what went on over the weekend. I find your beautiful poem at number 343 this morning so I check in to see what Anabel has to share. I think it would take a fellow smoker to understand...there are times, depending on events within our lifes that inspire "smoking hard". Great poem with some insight into things some people would never pick up on...
Date: 4/8/2002 10:09:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34775    "Is she pretty on the inside...Is she pretty from the back?" You have me pegged, Minnow...I have visions of the old Hayward Inn....and the cheapie apartments that you used to live in when you got your stereo stolen out of your truck in Municipal...sometimes, I can think back to it and think that that building was the only thing holding up the sky...and then it burnt to the ground....go figure...
Date: 4/8/2002 10:12:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34775    Thanks Kingy....I appreciate your insight, in all it's royal fashion. There are many things that we innately do...the body speaks louder often times than screaming...I just notice the way people smoke, but people talk hard too, I have found. Thank you...~
Date: 4/8/2002 2:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 51869    Wow, I love how you captured a moment and put it so well into words. This is one of the best poems I have read in a long time. Keep it real.
Date: 4/9/2002 6:19:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34775    Thank you Mr. Death...one of the best? Wow..I am honored...thank you again...~
Date: 4/9/2002 9:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 44404    and the sky stayed aloft. maybe it was the big fish holding it up after all. i can't believe you remember that. i didn't even think i told anyone about that. i was so embarressed with my laziness in not getting that window fixed sooner, which is how the would-be thief got in to take it in the first place. and i wouldn't say i have you pegged. i have an idea. the more i read of you, the more i feel to have been lucky to be apart of some of that. and the more i feel a bit of remorse because i was not apart of more. take care annie.
Date: 4/9/2002 10:23:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34775    Awwwwww...CARL!!!! You know, this goes against everything I have preached on this board, but...this is one occasion where I am going to break my own rule.......here I go....((((BIG HUGS))))!!
Date: 4/9/2002 11:45:00 AM  From Authorid: 44404    i have that rule too. i have broken it under only the most sincerest of occassions. i appreciate it. allow me to simply bend it by saying, ditto. of course now i'm breaking another rule which was never to under any circumstance quote directly from the movie ghost. hehehe.
Date: 4/9/2002 12:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34775    LMAO!!!!!!OMG!!!!!!ROTFLMAO!!!!!!
