Tuesday 2 am. Humpty sat on a wall.

3 am. He fell off.

OFFICERS REPORT

I beleive the egg's demise was not accidental. For why would the seemingly insignificant act of an egg falling onto concrete attratct the attention of not one, but all of the king's horses and all of the king's available men?

I sumbit that Dumpty was in actual fact an undercover spy, a master of disguise who had the unique ability to assume the appearance of an egg. Dumpty's cover was blown when he was served to an angent who recognised Dumpty, who was then taken out of the frying pan, and into the line of fire.
