you know how you get some kind of lump on your body when you might have cancer since the cells are like crashin into each other or something? well she showed me a lump that she has on her shoulder or something. she said its not sore or anything. when you touch it, it feels like a bone or something. its gross....

so is that a sign of cancer? i hope not :(

innocent gurl

Date: 3/28/2002 3:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    it might be something as simple as a bone growth I've got one on my foot not pleasent but not harmful. tell her to get to the doctor and get it checked out.
Date: 3/28/2002 3:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    I guess I should ask if it's moveable? LOL bone growths really aren't when my dog *yeah ok diffenrent species, same idea though* had his cancer tumor it was 'moveable' still tell her to get it checked out by a doctor asap! better safe than sorry!
Date: 3/28/2002 3:38:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48585    is a bone growth bad???!!!
Date: 3/28/2002 3:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 45948    I wouldn't start to worry about it right now, but your mom should definately go have it checked out. I had something similar to that and it was just a tumor that was not cancer, but at least I knew and didn't have to worry about it!!! Love,
Date: 3/28/2002 3:39:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 48585    yes it is kinda moveable cuz when you touch it it kinda moves...gross...
Date: 3/28/2002 3:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 51963    im not really sure, it could just be a bone growth... but get her to go cheak that out at the doctor just to be sure. Hugs... ~raging silence~
Date: 3/28/2002 3:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 51876    Could be a Liposoma.Which is the quote, unquote Good Fat? There are two kinds of fat in the body, high-density and low density.I don't know which is which but it could be that........GreenMan
Date: 3/28/2002 3:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 47983    Your mom needs to see a doctor.....~*Jeset*~
Date: 3/28/2002 3:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    no their not bad they can be painful depending on where they are. I've had mine for gosh..YEARS!!! it developed during the 4th grade and I'm in college now LOL Yeah it is painful from time to time because the tendons will get caught now and then but it's nothing life threatening or anything of the sorts. if that's what it is and she wants it taken care of it's a fairly simple procedure *Yeah I looked into having mine removed* they just basically 'file' the growth off....
Date: 3/28/2002 3:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 3538    Hopefully it is not, tell her to get that checked out as soon as she can thought!!
Date: 3/28/2002 3:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 35114    It might be, but it could be something else. I hope it's not cancer. Has she gone to a doctor? *HUGS*
Date: 3/28/2002 3:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 7333    I truly hope not. She needs to have it checked by a doctor. Please keep us informed. Perrianne
Date: 3/28/2002 4:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 46035    It may or may not be Cancer. Sometimes you can get what they call a Cyst. It looks like a knot or bump anywhere on the body. Most Cysts need to be lanced or drained. And a puss like mucus will come out. In some cases they can appear or disappear on their own. Chinablue
Date: 3/28/2002 5:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 30786    Maybe. It could also be a cyst, a calcium build up, or something else totally harmless. She still should go see a doctor as soon as she can to make sure it isn't cancer
Date: 3/28/2002 6:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 52286    If it's bothering you, or your mom, go to a doctor
Date: 3/28/2002 6:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 16069    It could be a cyst.
Date: 3/29/2002 5:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 48577    Your best bet is to take her to the doctor and get it checked out. If there is anything really to worry about the doctor would know.
Date: 3/29/2002 7:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 52328    innocent girl, the likely hood of it all is that she doesnt actually have cancer, okay, but if you are a little scared or need to talk email me..

Date: 3/30/2002 9:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 39887    She should get it checked. I have one there too and mine is just a fatty deposit under the skin, my doctor even has one on his neck. Get her to have it checked if you can, good luck!
Date: 3/31/2002 6:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 49994    im not really sure, but she should get it checked out, i hope everything goes ok! good luck!
