I'm against it. Usually, the death penalty is a punishment for murdering someone. Wouldn't the jail be just as bad for killing the convict? Also in the case that they didn't admit to the crime, death is final and what if they found that he/she was innocent later on? They'd be murdered for doing nothing. The death penalty is just wrong.  |

Ok here's what I think on this topic. I think that because of the way we are raised and the way society forces upon us that it is wrong to take a life and immoral to murder, I believe it is wrong to enact the death penalty. I believe this simply because society tells us loud and clear that killing is wrong... i.e. Two wrongs don't make a right. On the otherhand, if society looked at the issue as a whole differently, then I believe and eye for an eye would be justified. If it wasn't so morally wrong and unaccepted then I would say the death penalty would be ok. It would be socially acceptable for humans to take lives of other humans pending what they did to deserve it. So as it is now, I'm against the death penalty.  |

I think in only extreme cases. Like if someone tortured his victims and killed them. I think if what the person did was sick and twisted, then yes. But I don't think it should be done for things that were cruel but not twisted.  |

I am for it.Prisons are over crowded and people are not learning from thier mistakes.I feel that if you take a life then it should be even out and that you should give yours back.I also feel they should find a way to end thier life so they can harvest thier organs.Might as well have some good come of it all.  |

I am against and for it. I am against it b/c in the bible god tells a sis is a sin meaning lying is the same as murdering he doesn't make one worse than the other and having someone killed for doing something that just isn't right.....I also think its okay b/c every year we pay taxes to keep these people in jail and i don't want to pay for somone who is some pysco maniac LOL also if no one got the death penalty our jails would be overflowing..thats my opinion |
