I ran back into the mine. It turns out the blasting cap was a dud. It was also the last one I had. I took out a bullet. “You were planning on doing something.” I knew who it was, the demon. I didn’t even turn around. “ I know I was, and I was and will have a good time doing it.” While saying this I popped the shell off the bullet itself, and carefully (if you can be careful about something like that) poured the gunpowder out onto the plastic explosive. I tried to shield this from the demon. “You’re going to die down here. New people are going to come and we’re going to drain them of life and make them us eventually.” I slipped a match out of my pocket, setting it against the striking paper. “You know, you’re wrong about me, and I believe you” I turned around. “And one other thing, you are never going to get out of here.” I stuck the match, and flicked it at the gunpowder, it hit, nothing happening at first, then a bright light and a searing heat. ‘~’ Fire tore through the underground tunnels, destroying the sidings, making them collapse. A fireball burst through a small cave in the Demon Woods. The earth under Cantoba shook violently. Cracks tore through the streets, and buildings crumbled. The town was collapsing in on itself. A violent explosion ripped through the air when the gas station was destroyed. Gas lines ripped turning the town into a fiery crater. Though it was a high price to pay for Max, and no questions were answered, everything was peaceful. The Demons were gone, and the evil would never rise again. How it changed my life:This was the last part and concludes the Demon Woods Series. Hope you enjoyed, I will put all the installments into one big story sometime later on.
