yes i read this book, i have just started the second one "the lost boy" the first one was very very good, it was quite disturbing and upsetting, u will certainly be moved by it but i recommend u read it  |

I never read that book...but I saw him on Oprah and it was so sad!...His mother was a monster to him as a child...all his suffering didn`t let him give up on life even though he told he would die. Now He has a child of his own and is a devoted Father. His mother is now dead...and He forgave her...God is her judge now  |

We read that book in high school. I never read it but I skimmed through it. What makes it such a good story is that its a true story. People whom have read it told me parts about and it is very sad.  |

I have both books but have not yet got the courage to read either, from flipping through them there seems to be an awful lot of VERY upsetting content, I am not sure if I will ever read them  |

This book is incredible, as are the two following it, "The Lost Boy," and "A Man Named Dave." I read them all in a matter of days. Dave Peltzer is a true inspiration. He endured so much, and went on to write and be an inspirational speaker. Please read these books. I must warn they are heartbreaking and graphic.  |

I've read it, and it's horrible what his mother did to him. The author of the book, David Pelzer I think his name is, even came to our school last year and spoke to us. It was really neat.  |
