Call from a creep... :( +[JenTheLonely]+

This evening my family and I were having a quiet dinner. The phone rings. I have this feeling that says,"Don't pick up the phone! Dear God! Don't pick it up! It might be that jerk who doesn't reply to a simple hello!" I let the phone ring for about 7 times. I picked it up... So disappointed in myself... :( The person who called said,"Whats up?" in a I'm a long lost friend kind of tone. I think that kind of greeting is very rude. Sorry to be snobbish here folks. Just hoping that my friends didn't give out my phone number. Besides, I have no clue who the caller was. Never heard that voice before or maybe I have but didn't pay close attention. Another time it rang my uncle picked it up and asked who was talking on the other line. The person said he had the wrong number... This incident happened about a year ago so it might be the very same person... Don't know who though... I'll never ever give my phone number to a guy ever again!

I don't trust the male gender (especially teen-age boys), JenTheLonely

Date: 3/7/2002 7:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 18516    Oh I see..otherwise if the number showed up you could call it. Just let the phone ring or let your answering machine get it.
Date: 3/7/2002 7:56:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 43692    How about *69? Or does the company charge ya?
Date: 3/7/2002 7:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 18516    *69 does cost ya..but if it's an out of area or private call I don't think it'll give out the number.

Date: 3/7/2002 8:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 35629    Ah i know they are bothersome those prank calls but a nice handy whistle blowing in thier ear changes thier mind quick.hehehhee
Date: 3/8/2002 12:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 35042    If you speak to the phone company and explain the situation they have procedures for dealing with this type of thing and may make it so that when it next happens, you can press * or dial a code after they call and it'll trace them. The police tehn get involved if necessary. That's what happens in the UK and I imagine you're pretty similar
