OMG, that must suck. I wouldnt be able to avoid picking up the phone. But if you got caller ID then you could tell if it was someone you knw or not. If it was a sick prank then you could figure out who it was. ~Evil Twin~

that used 2 happen 2 me 2, and caller id didnt help much when the caller had a blocked #. so i just called up my phone company, and asked them 2 block out any callers with blocked #'s. so now if someone with a blocked # wants 2 call, they have 2 let their # show.  |

Happens to me all the time, and I have noticed it more frequently when I go to conspiracy theory sites. It works all the time, if I don't go to the sites I'll only get the every once in a while, but sometimes even right after I disconnect from the internet I'll get a call. I think it's a voice printing machine, they are used in cases where they are trying to get a suspects voice on the phone, I'm pretty sure all pay phones have them so they can track down a criminal better. I've pretty much rulled out everything else- if it were are person with a wrong # they would hang up or say "wrong number", if it were a prank caller you could hear breathing and background noise. But it's just silence as if a machine is recording the voice. I ought to try it out with someone who has caller ID, although I bet it would say "called out of area" or some other message like that.  |

Happens to me all the time,I usally press buttons in there ears or scream really loud into the phone lol but thats just me hehe. They call like 30 times a day! it gets old after a while. Mine says out of area on the caller id its just extremely ANNOYING lol.

I agree with Roxy Kawaii.., I had an incident like that.., only when my phone rang.., it said, '' you have been called by a party on you're own line ''.., I thought it happened because of my internet service.., though I ruled that out.. because it hasn't happened since.. There was Someone very Precious in my life who used to do that to me.., when they were here with me.., they did it as a joke..., lol Sometimes I would like to think..., just maybe they were letting me know..., they are o.k. You could blow a whistle in the caller's ear..., lol maybe that would change their dial tone.., hehe |
