Good post, Im pro-life but I think abortion should be an option ONLY if the mothers life is in jepoardy otherwise, you play, you pay. I think it is a good idea to keep it in debate anyway this might get heated  |

there are other options, like the day after pill, if they were to let women use that the amount of obortions could possibly go down. or another way would to be to stop counting how many are performed, the only 2 people that need to know it occured is the women and the doctor  |

Hello LadyNyx, I think one of the fundumental changes we conservatives have to make is re-examining our views on sex and teenagers. I remember when Colin Powell made his comment on condoms(can I say that here) Most of us conservatives were up in arms. We just happened to have missed the part where he said "Active" participants. Its almost as if we go deaf when the sex word comes up.. |

Child of Kali how are you......How prevalent were these Back Alley abortions? I have been hearing about them since I started paying attention to politics and such, I need to do some research and find out how common place they were as compared to the clinics and the number of fetuses that are aborted in this day and age. |

Good question. I believe that we chose to be born so that we can experience a multitude of feelings, emotions and experiences. I believe we all have a soul group. Those who we go through our lives with through out enternity and we make packs with these spirits and agree to help each other out with certain experiences. Some may be that pro-life/pro-choice decisions. It doesn't hurt the "child" being aborted and it doesn't cut it's life short because it knows it won't be born but the would be parent is allowed to experience all the feelings and emotions that goes with aborting this fetus and that's the issue at hand. No one dies whose not ready to die. I strongly believe that. Great post.

Why not teach abstinence and self discipline? We are worried about everyone's freedom to do horrible things, but when it comes to the most vunerable among us, the unborn child, who should be in the safest place on Earth, his/her mother's tummy, then it becomes a "thing," and "blob," but if left alone to come to term, it is a "baby," and a "blessing." What a bunch of hypocrisy! It just makes me ill. And TORO, I fall into the Norma McCorvey role, as I have changed my mind about the issue, and have suffered due to my own "choice" many years ago. This issue will stop once Americans realize that we don't have the right to MURDER the most innocent of all God's creations, the unborn child. So sad. So very sad.  |

My belief system is very similar to Chelle's. That is one of the reason's I am prochoice. Not all people have the same belief system....there is not just one....and no one should be forced to live according to anyone else's belief system. I too believe that we choose to be born and that we know ahead of time who we will be with in this life. It is my belief also that a spirit knows whether or not a fetus is going to be developed to full term and so in knowing that it would not....would not choose that body. Therefore the fetus would not have a spirit. I also don't believe that any spirit enters any body until after the first trimester. Do I expect everyone to believe this....no, cerntainly I don't, but I do believe that because all people are different and because all people have different beliefs and thoughts any decision should be left up to the individual. But as I stated above....if someone does feel the need to step in....I think it should be in a positive manner....not a negative, condemning and judgemental one. |
