Kid's Say The Craziest Things PART 3: You Can't Handle The Truth!!!

Earlier today I substituted for a teacher in the Kinder class. (There are 3 teachers in the class for a better approach to working with the children individualy.) One of the teachers pulled me aside and said that one of the students had complained that someone had written something on his name tag (which sits at his seat). She showed it to me after telling me the story. Well, ladies and gentlemen - graffiti starts at a very young age. Someone had written "I Don't Like *****" <- Some other child's name was written where the **** is. Later on we also had to stop some other children from writing their names on the brick wall outside with chalk. Future gang members....I hope not!

Meanwhile, we were trying to get the children to come up with three letter words that end with -ad. Of course they came up with various words but the teacher was trying to get them to say "lad". She said something along the lines of "we have a lot of these in our class". Still they had no idea what she was talking about. So instead she pointed to a child and said "this is something YOU are". He looks up and yells "uh.....BAD!" The rest of us had quite a task in trying NOT to laugh.

"We spend the first two years of our children's lives trying to get them to talk and walk - the next 16 years we spend trying to get them to shut up and sit down..." How true that is! =)
