Date: 2/14/2002 5:17:00 PM From Authorid: 4144 poison ivy you sound like me!! that's what i asked my daughter 2 weeks ago when her purse was stolen out of her car! they got more than her wallet though. broke the passenger side window of a brand new car. and i mean brand new. just got it in november. took her purse. inside her purse was her wallet and checkbook and make up and a brand new jade ring she had never got to wear yet. so we (ME) had to get the window replaced. thankfully the insurance paid the whole thing with no deductable. i had just had the windows tinted for Christmas. had to had the tinting re-done. had to replace the drivers license. close out checking and savings. then go and re-open both. replace all the make up and the purse. just replacing the make up was expensive! her SS card was in my purse so we didn't have that problem. and they have been writing checks everywhere on her closed account. so i have had to fax the police report to all these places that have taken the checks. they spent over 600.00 at wal mart and 200.00 at a grocery store and last night i found out about another one at a gas station. i'm so sick of this that i forgot to even ask how much it was for! there were 11 checks in the book that they can write. i've only got calls about 5 so far. they also got our address so i had to bring the spare key inside the house instead of leaving it outside where my daughter can find it when she locks herself out every couple of days! |
