Nobody notices the dress code anymore unless you have a shirt that REALLY stands out, like with a Big pot leaf on it or something like that. |

this is an easy one. First you need to calm down to think clearer. Go and talk to the powers that be. Ask them diplomatically, of course, I was wondering if by chance you have a problem with my daily attire? I have heat sensitivity and I want you to know that I respect your rules and realize that they must be enforced but unfortunately, in having severe heat sensitivy it is necessary for me to wear shorts and short sleeved shirts. I in no way wish to be insubordinate to your rules however, I must take my health issues as a priority. I admire your standards and am sure that you will be able to find this acceptable and I'd like to thank you in advance for understanding.---that should do the trick---good luck<<HUGS>> |

Ok..let me clear up my confusion first ok? You are being told how to dress at a place you take your kids?? You are an adult...are you not?? This Homeschool Group has a dresscode?? Okies, now Ive heard everything..Im sorry but that is ridiculous...I can see if you were coming in dressed like a streetwalker or something...but to question your NORMAL wear?? Forgive me if I find this totally ridiculous..LOL..Im sorry you are having to deal with this kind of bull..its not fair to you and its NOT fair to your boys for sure..xoxo |

Man i can remember the longer than finger tips rule at my highschool, and I was tall, so it always seemed like my shorts were longer than everyone elses...... I hated that rule, cause it is hard to find knee length lei's for girls. But personally I would wait till approached in person, then ask them to show you on your attire whats wrong with what you are wearing, because the way you understand school policy, you arent breaking any rules, and if they have any further complaints, than perhaps they can buy your school clothes for you, and it will no longer be a problem. Also inform them that- you are a student, but you are also human, the appropriate way to handle this situation would have been to pass a reminder out to all students, not just single certain students out, and if they feel the need to point you out, than perhaps they should have a personal meeting with you as well.. Hope you geth this resolved! |

i'd let them come to me, prsonally, like you i would be insulted that noone could come talk to me about a prob they were haveing with me, and just highlighted some things on a paper, remember if you dont say anything when they finally do, if they do, you can say why didnt you come and talk to me, no one in thier right mind would say" we've been dropping hints" i dont think they will say any thing, they are prob afraid of confrontation, so kick back and enjoy the fact that you know you annoy them, and they dont have the guts to say a thing(lol) |
