An empty glance
Thrown across the room
Keeping your distance
If only they knew
It wasn't because you're shy.

Passing you by
Like some unfashionable wallpaper
Not knowing you exist
Or willing to even try.

I'm trying to help
Only leading to destruction
I was too late
They've pushed you too far.

A tear
Running down your face
Leaving a path
Of pain and abandonment.

Should people notice?
Do they care?
Is it really
Their obligation to say "hello"?

You need your teddy bear
All cuddley and soft
Some kind of comfort
Though artifical and fake.

Where is your mommy?
Why did she leave?
You weren't finished growing
Even as we speak.

I leave you now-
These words of mine
Though you've passed away
Without ever saying "Goodbye"
