***UPDATE*** I just got home, and my friend is holding his own right now. Dr.'s have talked about his head injuries and are still at the moment unsure what they are going to do. He was getting ready to turn left onto his street when he was rear-ended into oncoming traffic. He was NOT breathing and had no pulse when the Ambulance arrived. There were 4 cars involved and 3 ambulances dispatched. Mike had the worst injuries though. He is now in ICU where we are awaiting the decisions to send him to the Trauma Center in Memphis Tennessee. We have a Neurology department at our local hospital that is manned by Dr.'s from Memphis, they each do one day a week here, and if it gets to be more than they can do here, they airflight them to Memphis. Vicky, his wife, is in really bad shape, and my heart aches for her because she has health problems of her own. Mike is FULL TIME Army Reserve and in "on call" right now for our war effort. His Unit could be activated any day... Ok, I am sorry, but I am rambling now... just sort of venting I guess... I am praying with all my might for this wonderful man to be ok.. Thanks to all your USM prayers I feel much better... I love you guys...  |
